These terms apply to your use of the Northern Rivers Imaging website and our online booking and referral services. By using this site you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Not for emergencies
This website is not an emergency service. If you need urgent medical help, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
2. General information only
Information on this site about scans, preparation and scan selection is general in nature and is not medical advice. Always follow the instructions of your referring practitioner and the preparation confirmed with your booking.
3. Booking requests
Submitting the online form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Our team will contact you to confirm a time. Requested days and times are subject to availability.
You must provide accurate details. Most examinations require a valid referral from a medical or allied health practitioner; please bring your referral, Medicare card and any concession cards to your appointment.
4. Uploading referrals
Only upload documents you are entitled to share, in PDF, JPG or PNG format. Files are stored privately and used only to arrange your care, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Fees and billing
Many examinations attract a Medicare rebate and eligible patients may be bulk billed. Where an out-of-pocket fee applies we will tell you before your examination. Fees are payable on the day unless otherwise arranged.
6. Cancellations and late arrivals
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule so the time can be offered to another patient. If you arrive late we may need to rebook your examination.
7. Results
Reports and images are sent to your referring practitioner, who will discuss the results with you. Our staff are unable to give results directly over the phone.
8. Referrer and doctor portal
Access to the doctor portal is limited to authorised practitioners. Login details must be kept confidential, and portal use is subject to that system's own terms.
9. Website use and intellectual property
Content, logos and images on this site belong to Northern Rivers Imaging and may not be copied without permission. You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access or submit false information.
10. Liability
We take care to keep this site accurate and available but do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the website. Links to external sites are provided for convenience only.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions? Email admin@nrimaging.com.au.
